MEET THE TEAM

The Frontier Collective is the first organization to represent and advance the interests of the region’s fastest-growing technologies, including AI, VR/AR, robotics, biotech, computer vision, 5G, agtech, climate tech, and more.

We are a coalition of leaders who work together towards promoting the region's bleeding-edge tech industry on the world stage, growing investment and infrastructure for early-stage companies, and attracting diverse talent to Vancouver.

We believe the future of the world’s growth lies within the startup and frontier tech ecosystem. Vancouver is a hotbed of innovation and creativity, and the city has the potential to become a global powerhouse.

We support and create space for folks in whatever category they choose to define themselves.

To build a sustainable organization, we will continually work to challenge systemic barriers; create balanced opportunities; and facilitate meaningful conversations that allow our community to thrive.

Highlighting Partnerships

BRITISH COLUMBIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

Tech Collider partnership

The Frontier Collective is partnering with the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) to advance its goals to link diverse talent with local companies, and get students into jobs.

The Tech Collider is BCIT’s high-tech learning centre and makerspace that will bring students and industry together from across disciplines, and support the development of highly skilled workers in technology. The Tech Collider will allow Vancouver businesses to work directly with post-secondary students on integrated, real-world projects.

The Frontier Collective has partnered with Tech Collider to link cutting-edge companies with BCIT students.

  • This partnership will help teach the skills required for work in industries such as VR/AR design, 3D printing, blockchain, and more.

  • By creating a talent pipeline into the local industry, this initiative provides high-paying jobs to new graduates while filling the talent gaps in the region.

  • Working together with BCIT, the Frontier Collective can help scale curricula in line with evolving industry needs.
