James Grass

A dual national of Australia and Canada, James Grass has more than 20 years of experience in the private club and hospitality industries.

From 2007-18 James grew his career at The Vancouver Club; beginning in fine dining service and progressing to Membership Manager and finally Director of Brand Experience & Marketing.

‍

Since then he has built his own hospitality agency, Chef's Favourite, through which James and his team advise restaurants, private clubs, and corporate clients on brand strategy, hospitality experience design, and consumer engagement across Canada and internationally.

Today, James is perhaps best recognized as the host of Mates on Crates - the viral content series with over 200 episodes - that highlights local hospitality icons and their favourite places to eat and drink.
