Taner Ozcelik

Dr. Taner Ozcelik brings three decades of experience as a veteran semiconductor executive. He is the founder and former VP & GM of NVIDIA’s automotive division, where he built a multi-hundred-million-dollar business, grew it consistently over a decade, and pioneered the commercialization of autonomous technologies, which led to NVIDIA’s $6B automotive business today. Dr. Ozcelik also served as SVP & GM of the Intelligent Sensing Group at ON Semiconductor, where he led the turnaround of a $1B business group formed of six companies, and achieved 55% and 34% in worldwide market share, in automotive and robotics image sensors respectively, while shipping 300M chips annually. Dr. Ozcelik grew a consumer electronics semiconductor business at Sony Electronics from the ground up to $200M annually and shipped 45M chips worldwide in the span of half a decade.

Taner holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.

In his first year as CEO, Dr. Ozcelik has led a dramatic relaunch of Mythic, an AI chip company that is focused on delivering 100x more energy efficient semiconductors for datacenters, automotive, robotics and defense. His accomplishments include securing over $125M in an oversubscribed financing round from marquee investors including DCVC, NEA, Softbank and Future Ventures, signing a major global OEM as a customer, creating a new functional prototype that is 50x higher performing than conventional sensors and maturing Mythic’s AI SDK on its APUs (Analog Processing Units) to be on par with the leading GPU SDKs. Mythic is now actively expanding its presence in Europe.
