Frontier Confluence Dinner

Starting off the New Year with the first Confluence Dinner of 2023, an evening of coming together for the future of our city. Serendipity happens when breaking bread together in an open and authentic space. As we get ready to kick off 2023, the Frontier Collective hosted our first confluence dinner of 2023: an inspiring evening of conversations and curiosity. Our goal is to build bridges and bring people together of all diverse backgrounds - leaders in technology, arts & culture, government, investment, real estate, community, and people that represent the future of Vancouver.

Vancouver has a unique opportunity to build for a more vibrant, prosperous, innovative and creative future. We need to embrace that more than ever and that is why we are launching the Road to the Innovation Hub tour in 2023, starting with our theme of placemaking and bringing people together.

Frontier Collective is building an innovation movement and fostering growth of the industries that have the potential to be the economic engine of the city. Frontier tech (cleantech, biotech, metaverse, robotics, AR/VR, AI, agtech etc ) is booming in the region and the aim of these dinners is to show how the confluence between these industries and individuals will unlock Vancouver’s potential.

The dinner included a sustainable, locally-sourced, West Coast menu and drinks in the gorgeous Kent private event space in Gastown, with live-music, networking, and a confluence of ideas to remember. We were joined by special guests such as Mayor Ken Sim and other influential leaders.

This event is took place on the unceded Traditional Coast Salish Lands including the Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ), Kwikwetlem (kʷikʷəƛ̓əm), Squamish (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw) and Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm) Nations. We recognize that it is our privilege to work and live on these lands, and to commit to the continuous, conscious practice of true reconciliation.
